ONLINE SLOT TRENDS IN MAY 2025
This month starts off with a bang with the release of Resurrecting Riches by Pragamtic Play on the 1st May. We do not know too much about this slot yet, but we expect it to be high variance with some fantastic graphics and colour. This will be the first of three slots from Pragmatic Play this month as Witch Heart Megaways and Sleeping Dragon will follow on the 5th May and 8th May respectively, and the SlotsHawk team are all here for it! Megaways slots in particular from Pragmatic Play are usually top-quality so we are greatly anticipating Witch Heart Megaways.
We have tested a few of the upcoming slots from AvatarUX too, namely Piggy Pop Grand Affair and Duck Hunt 500, and both slots have the potential to be truly excellent. The former will come with Pop Wins, which is an excellent feature unique to AvatarUX slots whilst the latter comes with a max potential payout of 10,000x and a unique random feature where the hunter takes some shots at big multipliers and instant wins. Piggy Pop Grand Affair has a release date of 9th May whilst Duck Hunt 500 will be released on 23 May.
NoLimit City will only be releasing one slot game in May 2025, but it looks like a good one in Kill Em All. This slot revolves around entering a dungeon and defeating different monsters and bosses in particular. We do not know too much about this slot yet, but we are positive that there will be the usual high variance features and we do know for sure that there will be two different free spins games.
We are pleased to announce the release of two new Yggdrasil slots this month in the form of Lucky Ryan Gigablox and Dick the Farmer. Lucky Ryan Gigablox is a bit of a throwback given that there is a leprechaun (remember when almost all developers were pushing the Irish leprechaun theme) but it promises to be a nice slot played on a 6×6 grid with payouts of up to 6,260x. Dick the Farmer promises to be the more interesting of the two though with a more original theme as well as max multipliers up to 20,000x. There will also be a jackpot wheel in this one too as well as respins and some easy on the eye graphics. Lucky Ryan Gigablox will be released on 14th May and Dick the Farmer has a release date of 22nd May.
One of our favourite lesser known slot developers are Peter and Sons because of how visually appealing their slots are, so we are delighted that they will be releasing another slot game this month, Ghostfather Awakened. With unique graphics as well as some excellent modern slot features including Ghost symbol boosters, Ghost Rain and Instant Wins, Ghostfather Awakened is probably the slot of the month for the SlotsHawk team. With a max win of 10,000x and a medium/high variance, this is likely to be a top slot game. We are already counting down the days to release which will be 22 May. We are also pleased that we will be able to add Ghostfather Awakened to our list of horror themed slot games!
Evidently, May 2025 will witness the continued spree of high variance slot games. For several months now, the majority of new slot games have had high variance levels, and we do not see this coming to an end any time soon.
STEPHEN’S MONTHLY PICK: GHOSTFATHER AWAKENED
As a huge supporter of horror themed slots, I am highly anticipating Ghostfather Awakened because my favourite theme meets one of my favourite developers. The features look very appealing and I firmly believe that this slot has the potential to be one of the best slots of 2025 so far.
