First of all, SlotsHawk love the theme of Dead Men Walking. The slot is like a medieval horror game with macabre symbols and horror slots are some of our favourite games at SlotsHawk. Unfortunately, the rest of this slot is rather lackluster for us. The lack of cascading reels is a big deal for us given how common they are in most of the best slots in 2025. Respins of a sort do occur when xNudge Wilds land, but other than that, what you spin is exactly what you get.
The Hold and Win bonus game does have potential too, but even that is frustrating as you do not win everything that lands. In order to win the multipliers that land, you can need to collect them and even a collection symbol is not enough for that, it depends on exactly where the Collection symbol lands.
SlotsHawk triggered x2 Dead Man’s Gold bonus rounds and in the first we won less than £3 despite there being a 90x multiplier on the grid!

It seems to us that NoLimit City have just added all of their less attractive features to this one. Yes, there are plenty of slot features in Dead Men Walking, but they are not particularly good ones for the player. Nevertheless, we have highlighted them and explained them all for you.
REEL FIRE PITS
There are three Fire Pits above the reel area/5×3 grid and each is linked to a base game feature. These features can be triggered when their respective scrolls land on the reels, but even if they land, they do not always trigger.
- xWays (Orange Scroll): xWays symbols will transform into normal paying symbols. It will reveal 2-4 symbols of the same type and increase the number of ways to win.
- Infectious Wild (Red Scroll): Transforms a random symbol and all its instances on the reel to Wild symbols.
- xSplit (Grey Scroll): Splits all the symbols on its row and doubles the symbol size as well as converting itself into a wild.
XNUDGE WILDS
The best feature in the game, these are stacked wilds which will always nudge to full visibility. Once visible, it trigger Dead Men’s March, and moves one step left. Each nudge increases the multiplier by +1 too.
If a xNudge wild reaches the first reel and there are other xNudge Wilds present, then it transfers its multiplier to the nearest one.
DEAD MAN’S GOLD BONUS SPINS
Landing 3, 4 or 5 bonus symbols will trigger 3, 4 or 5 Dead Man’s Gold bonus spins respectively.
The Bonus spins begin on a 5×5 reel grid where only coins will land. The spins remain intact if a coin lands and all coin multiplier values are valued as times the active bet.
When three or more coins land vertically or horizontally they are collected and paid out. Feature coins that land are only triggered when they are collected.
- Collector: Collects the value of all active coins.
- Cloner: Copies the highest coin value to all active coins.
- Multiplier: Doubles the value of all visible coins.
- King’s Grace: Resets the bonus spin count to its initial value. This is the rarest feature coin.
There is also a Reaper’s Gold bonus game but that is not available to UK players.
NOLIMIT BOOSTER
At the cost of 1.5 times the bet, you are more likely to activate Dead Man’s Gold. When at least one bonus symbol lands on the reel area, 1-4 additional bonus symbols may be added to the board.

When the SlotsHawk team played Dead Men Walking for real money, we began by betting 20p per spin with the NoLimit Booster activated bringing our total bet to 30p per spin. Despite triggering a Dead Man’s Gold bonus game, we did not hit any decent sized wins and quickly found ourselves around £50 down. We then increased our bet a few times at one point betting 60p per spin and then we did hit more wins, so we do actually recommend making bigger bets when you play Dead Men Walking.
