SlotsHawk Chats: Mykhailo from Spinorium

The SlotsHawk news team are thrilled to welcome you back to yet another of our chat sessions. Today, we are joined by Mykhalio Davydov who is the co-founder of Spinorium, a no-code builder for online slot games.

In this exclusive interview, Mykhailo talks us through how Spinorium is able to both simplify and improve how online slot machines are built with the use of no-code technology.

SlotsHawkHi Mykhailo! Thanks for joining us. No-code tools have been gaining attention in the slots world for some time now — can you tell us what Spinorium is really about?

Mykhalio – Hey! As you mentioned, Spinorium is exactly a no-code builder for slot games that handles frontend, prototyping, and testing. It allows studios to assemble full-featured HTML5 slots twice as fast comparing to coding it. Spinorium is so vast and flexible framework that even a person who doesn’t know code can assemble a game, literally!

Our builder empowers game designers to build and iterate games visually, without depending on front-end teams — giving providers more freedom and faster delivery.

SlotsHawkSo, development without front-end developers? Sounds like a real time saver— or a danger! How does the process actually work?

Spinorium slot game cycle

Mykhalio – A danger only to the old way of doing things. It all starts with game design in almost usual way, but a bit faster. Then the game logic is assembled by “assemblers” — who are not traditional devs, but rather tech artists, using our visual editor.

This is thanks to a bigger part of code which is generated by Spinorium itself, which is covered on 95% with automated tests, so the QA goes much faster. And if a provider requires some additional component or action, we build and ship it into the system within 1–2 weeks. Or it can be built over Spinorium in the usual way.

SlotsHawk Will using a builder mean that all of the games end up looking the same?

Mykhalio – Absolutely not. Despite the fact that you can reuse any of the previous games OR components as a template, Spinorium is like LEGO: the same bricks can build anything — from a fruity bonanza type of slot to an epic sci-fi saga with progressive mechanics. It all depends on the designer’s imagination. Spinorium doesn’t limit creativity — it enables it. And it’s more than just a toolset — it’s an ecosystem that grows with the provider’s needs.

Need a component (‘Lego brick’) that doesn’t exist yet? We’ll build it — and make it instantly usable in the editor.

SlotsHawk“Faster time-to-market” is a big talking point in iGaming. What does that actually look like with Spinorium? We know from talking with other slots developers that the average slot has a turnaround time of three to six months, could you give us an idea on how it would look with Spinorium?

Mykhalio – On average: twice as fast. But it’s not just about time. Instead of having four front-end developers, you might only need two assemblers. Instead of weeks of integration — you just need modular plug-and-play logic. And you’re saving around 19% of the budget, just on role allocation. In other words: lower budget, more slot games, faster time-to-market.

SlotsHawkWhat about visuals and animation? Is there a chance that Spinorium may limit artistic freedom?

Mykhalio – Quite the opposite — it gives the possibility to make AAA games run on low-end devices – and we keep amplifying it. It minimizes the texture size for static art and animations as well as grouping them. Same for sound. With all of that, even highly immersive games are sized <20mb and there’s more to come!

SlotsHawkWhich providers are already using Spinorium?

Slot games with Spinorium

Mykhalio – Yes, we’re working with a couple of game providers who’ve already launched games — some of which have been nominated for industry awards. These studios used Spinorium to create top-tier mechanics from scratch. One studio, for example, scaled their annual game output from 10 to 28 titles after using Spinorium in their development. And we have very promising new startups onboarding in the coming months. Wet and Wild Beavers as well as Gates of Hellfire are two of the most popular slot games we have helped to create, each featuring unique and engaging mechanics.

SlotsHawkCan you give us a sneak peek of what you’re working on now?

Mykhalio – We’re working on expanding the no-code editor to cover 98% of gameplay scenarios. We’re also integrating AI-powered prototyping — where you can build a playable draft in under a minute. By the end of next month, Spinorium is about to get a serious power-up. We’re introducing an advanced Animation Editor to give game creators full control over motion and effects, along with Art Filters to instantly elevate visual style and aesthetics. A brand-new Bitmap Font Generator will boost text clarity and performance, while our Game Optimization Analyzer will help identify and fix bottlenecks before players ever notice them. And to top it off — Remote Mobile Device Testing will let you test your games on real devices from anywhere in the world. It’s all about giving studios more freedom, precision, and speed — right where they need it most.

SlotsHawkFinally, what’s your favorite industry myth you’d like to bust?

Mykhalio – “No-code = low flexibility.” That’s the biggest myth out there. In reality, it’s quite the opposite. At Spinorium, we’ve built a modular system that adapts to your ideas — not the other way around. Need a custom mechanic? We can ship it in days. Want to tweak animations, UI, or game logic? You’re in full control. Spinorium gives creators the freedom to build unique, high-performing games without being boxed in by rigid templates or one-size-fits-all tools.
