HEADS WILL ROLL: OVERVIEW
Last Updated: September 23, 2025Written by Stephen Cummings
Heads Will Roll is a crash game created and developed by Thunderkick.
In this Heads Will Roll review, we will tell you all of the information you need so that you know exactly how to play the game and also so that you can decide whether you would liek to play Heads Will Roll crash game for real money or not.
HEADS WILL ROLL: NEED TO KNOW INFORMATION
If you are short on time, we have explained the Heads Will Roll cash game in five easy points for you below:
- Heads Will Roll is a crash game and not a typical slot.
- The ‘spin’ is rolling a dice. Each time you roll you will increase your multiplier, but if you roll a skull the round is over and you lose all money earned including your bet.
- There are four modes to choose from; easy, medium, hard and brutal. The easy dice has 20 sides and only two skulls. Medium is an 8 sides dice with one skull. Hard and Brutal have a 6 sided dice with two skulls.
- There is the possibility of rolling a fate feature. If you do this, you must roll again but you will be able to advance higher on the ladder if you roll a + symbol. However, after rolling a fate symbol, an additional skull is added onto the next roll too.
- The maximum win on each mode is as follows: Easy = 35x, Medium = 110x, Hard = 1,000x and Brutal = 2,400x.
HEADS WILL ROLL: FIRST IMPRESSIONS AND YOUTUBE PLAYTHROUGH
Heads Will Roll is simple and easy to play. There are five sizes of bets available. You can bet from £1 up to £5. We actually had the most success betting £5 per spin as it allowed us to cash out for a decent amount after hitting the first multiplier. There are no bonus games or bonus spins, you must simply advance up the multiplier grid and try to cash out before you hit a skull symbol. You can decide which difficult to play on. We enjoyed playing on Brutal the most but this is a very gamble heavy game which will suit high roller slots lovers.
We found that the Fate symbol was more of a hinderance, especially in Brutal mode because it added another Skull symbol to the dice. Crash game such as Heads Will Roll are not for the faint of heart, but if you do prefer a less gamble-heavy experience, then we recommend playing on easy mode as you will roll a 20 sided dice with just two skull symbols.
Overall, we made a loss of around £14, although at one point we were ahead by over £50 when we began making the £5 bets.
HEADS WILL ROLL CRASH GAME FEATURES
There are not many features to speak of because this is a Crash game.
CHOOSE THE DIFFICULTY
Before starting, you must select a difficulty and a bet amount. The game begins with a dice roll and each successful roll advances you up the payout ladder whilst increasing your multipliers. This will continue until you either cash out, roll a skull symbol or win the max multiplier.
FATE MODE
Fate Mode replaces the base dice with a special dice. During this mode, the potential for reward increases as does the risk of a Game Over. Cash Out is disabled during Fate Mode.
ALL OR NOTHING
When one or two steps away from a maximum win, the dice is replaced with a special golden dice where only two outcomes are possible, Maximum Win or Game Over.
Full List of Features:
- Crash Game
- Multipliers
- Fate mode
- Choose Difficulty
HEADS WILL ROLL RETURN TO PLAYER
The RTP of Heads Will Roll depends completely on which game difficulty you play on and where you play it. The RTP will range from 93.27% up to 97.59%. You will get the highest RTP if you play on the Brutal difficulty.
HEADS WILL ROLL MAXIMUM PAYOUTS
Again, the maximum payouts available will depend on which difficulty you play on. The maximum win on each mode is as follows:
- Easy = 35x
- Medium = 110x
- Hard = 1,000x
- Brutal = 2,400x
STRATEGIES WHEN PLAYING HEADS WILL ROLL FOR REAL MONEY
We found the strategy which worked best for us is when we bet the maximum on Brutal mode. This allows you to Cash Out on the first multiplier step which will give you 1.5x your bet in return. Of course, the variance is high matching some of the highest variance slot games here but this strategy allowed us to win the most amount of money.
EXTRA INFO
Heads Will Roll is a crash game similar to Outsourced: Slash Game so it does not have any reels or rows. The main features are simply the multipliers and being able to cash out when you want.
Heads Will Roll is created by Thunderkick and was released on 17/09/2025.
THE SLOTSHAWK VERDICT
“Heads Will Roll is a crash game which is very gamble-heavy. We had the most fun when we played it on Brutal Mode whilst betting £5 per spin, but you should adjust accordingly for your bankroll.”
