ALIEN INVADERS: OVERVIEW

Space themed slots are quite often a big hit with players, so we have been looking forward to reviewing Alien Invaders from Pragmatic Play as soon as we heard that it was in the works. We have to say that we are a little underwhelmed due to the lack of features. However, we did still have fun playing Alien invaders because of its good hit rate and global win multiplier.
In this Alien Invaders slot review, you will find all of the information you need so that you can decide whether or not you would like to play Alien Invaders for real money or not.
ALIEN INVADERS: FIRST IMPRESSIONS
We were surprised to see that when we began spinning the reels, many of the spaces were not filled with symbols, but that is a part of this slot. On every spin, 3-5 symbols can land on the reels so some spins will be better than others. You will also notice a global multiplier on the left of the reels which will increase in value the more wins you manage to hit. There is also an ante bet feature which will add a small amount onto your total bet in order to make hitting the free spins game 2x more likely.
At first, the majority of the wins we were hitting were much lower than our total bet size of 20p per spin + 5p for the ante bet. However, we did trigger some decent sized payouts thanks to the Global multiplier. Winning symbols will always explode and be replaced by more symbols too, and the more times this happens, the higher the multiplier will go. We have to say thogh that if you want to play a slot with cascades and a global multiplier, MeJUICEa by Thunderkick is the one we recommend.
We did eventually trigger the Alien Invaders free spins bonus by landing three scatter symbols and we got a decent sized win as well as a respin. Overall, we made a loss of around £13 playing Alien Invaders, but it is quite fun, it just lacks more features to trigger.

GLOBAL MULTIPLIER
The Global multiplier appears at the top left of the screen and will increase in value when you hit wins. Every spin in the base game begins with a 1x multiplier which increases by 1x for every 10 symbols which explode during the spin.
Wild symbols on reel three pay out when they hit the bottom row and can carry a multiplier of up to 25x.
CASCADING/EXPLODING REELS
When at least three matching symbols land on the bottom row, those reels will be become active and all matching symbols on those reels form a winning combination and explode.
If a scatter symbol reaches the bottom row, it explodes alongside symbols adjacent to it too.
All exploding symbols are replaced by new symbols until no explosions take place.
ALIEN INVADERS FREE SPINS BONUS
Landing three scatter symbols awards seven free spins with a further three free spins awarded for each additional scatter. During the base game, the multipliers persist across the duration of the free spins and can carry up to 100x multipliers.
Additional scatter symbols during the bonus game will award an additional respin.
ANTE BET
At the cost of 0.25 times your wager, you can activate the ante bet feature which will give you double the chance of triggering the free spins bonus. This essentially gives you more chance to land scatter symbols.
