A huge improvement on the original slot, Diamond Blitz 2 has a classic theme but some modern features. When Diamond Blitz was announced by Red Tiger, the SlotsHawk team were hoping that it wouldn’t be a lazy update on the original. Happily, it is not that and Diamond Blitz 2 is a decent slot in its own right, although there are certainly better slot games which you can explore out there.

We began by playing for 40p per spin and the review team are impressed with the locked wilds feature which generate respins. We are also impressed with the hit rate, but be careful about this one as although there are many wins triggered, the majority of them are for amounts below your bet.
Diamond Blitz 2 gameplay revolves around trying to trigger the Blitz bonus game which is done when you land one Blitz symbol on the reels and then, in your next spins, you must land a Wild symbol. We triggered this twice and on our second time, we did successfully land a Wild symbol. Unfortunately, payouts are not larger in the bonus game and multipliers are not increased either, so we did not win much.
Overall, there is just is not a lot of opportunity for large wins, even in the games special bonus round, Blitz Mode. In comparison with certain other modern slot games, Diamond Blitz 2 is rather lacking. Yes, we enjoyed it at first and the locked wilds offering respins is a brilliant feature, but overall this slot just isn’t very exciting after the first five or so minutes of gameplay.

Whenever a Wild symbol appears on the reels, it is locked and will trigger a repsin until no more wilds appear on the reels. On each repsin, the locked wild will continue to drop down the reels until it disappears.
